Dissertation Title: The Surfactant's Role in Concrete Frost Protection

Department: Civil and Environmental Engineering

Advisor(s): George Scherer

Bio: Lori E. Tunstall completed her BS in Civil Engineering and a minor in English from The College of New Jersey in 2008.  Over the following year and a half, Lori worked as a construction estimator and a geotechnical engineer, but deeply missed the analytical problem solving that she so enjoyed as a student. In 2010, she rejoined the student ranks as a Ph.D. candidate at Princeton University, were she was awarded the Gordon Y.S. Wu Fellowship in Engineering. When she is not studying surfactant interaction in cement systems, Lori enjoys playing violin, painting, and spending time with her husband and two boys.
