Follow in the wake of ancient mariners on a grand voyage to exotic ports of call in Morocco and the Canary Islands, balanced by relaxing days at sea to enjoy the elegance of the three-masted Sea Cloud II. Begin with a rich program of immersive exploration in legendary Marrakech, staying three nights at La Mamounia, one of the most famous and romantic hotels in the world. Optional activities include Moroccan cuisine lessons at La Maison Arabe, a sunrise hot-air balloon ride over the city, soaking in a traditional Moroccan steam bath and perfume making with a top garden designer & botanist. Our Marrakech excursion culminates in a pull-out-the stops 1,001 Nights Gala evening in a private tented camp surrounded by date palms, with folkloric entertainment, a gourmet dinner of traditional cuisine, and a 10-horsemen fantasia show. Embark Sea Cloud II in Casablanca and sail in tandem with the original Sea Cloud south along the coast of Morocco, calling at Agadir and visiting the historic market town of Taroudant in the Souss Valley. Next cross the Atlantic to the Canaries. In Lanzarote see the volcanic landscape and visit the Jameos del Agua caves. In Tenerife enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the UNESCO town of La Laguna, check out the island views on a cable car ride to the summit of Teide National Park and sample the famed Spanish vintages at a local vineyard. In Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, tour the Bandama Crater and visit a five-hundred-year-old banana plantation before returning home.

An optional four-night pre-tour extension to Fes, Chefchaouen and Rabat will be offered for those wanting to experience more of the Moroccan magic.
