Turkey has long been a crossroad of cultures, safeguarding historic treasures from thirteen successive civilizations spanning 10,000 years. With such a magnificent history, gorgeous land and seascapes, and a modern society rich with food, song and story, it is the perfect place for an educational exploration. Cruise in and out of pristine coves along the renowned Turquoise Coast and disembark occasionally for a tour of old ruins, an island hike, or an Aegean swim. Visit the ancient Lydian capital of Xanthos and the former Lycian city of Arykanda, dating back to the second millennium B.C. After visiting Antalya to explore the Roman Theater as Aspendos and Perge, one of the world's ancient learning centers, return to Athens.
