Princeton Journeys Overview
Princeton Journeys is the educational travel component of the Alumni Association of Princeton University's Alumni Education program. Under the new name since 2004, Princeton Journeys offers an expanded array of educational travel opportunities for Princeton alumni and friends, with a meaningful range of cost, size, style, and destination, always incorporating a unique educational and/or experiential component.
Before Princeton Journeys, the alumni travel study program, often referred to as "Alumni Colleges," traditionally provided three or four programs per year. Having expanded to 20 programs per year in 2008, the new program reflects new trends for alumni educational travel and responds to feedback we received from our loyal alumni. Shorter trips, offerings with a greater variety of physical activity, and opportunities for multi-generational travel have all been popular over the last few years.
A Princeton Journeys program is not simply a vacation, but rather an opportunity for alumni and friends of Princeton to engage in intellectual conversation and experiences outside of their own homes or the University campus, taking advantage of the learning opportunities inherent in a travel experience as well as the subject-area expertise of Princeton faculty and/or alumni authorities.
