Student Employment Opportunities for Reunions 2009
Student workers and performers are a key component to the success of Reunions. In order to be hired and paid by the University, a student worker must have the necessary I-9 payroll form (employment eligibility verification) on file with the Student Employment Office (West College). The I-9 form is available on the Student Employment Web site.
Listed below are student employment opportunities during Reunions 2010.

Dining Services: Over 30,000 meals are served to alumni by Dining Services during Reunions. Housing is provided and each worker has the option of buying a Reunions wristband from the Office of the Alumni Association. Employment information will be made available on the Dining Services Web site in the spring.

Public Safety: Public Safety hires a student crew during Reunions. Duties might include: security detail, lockouts, staffing restricted parking lots and working the welcome desk. Housing is provided and each worker has the option of buying a Reunions wristband from the Office of the Alumni Association. Employment information will be made available on the Public Safety Web site in the spring.

Student Crew: Each major reunion (5th – 65th and APGA) and the Office of the Alumni Association will hire a student crew to oversee the logistics of running their Reunion. Work starts the morning of Tuesday, May 25 and concludes on the afternoon of Sunday, May 30. Attendance at a crew briefing and wristband distribution meeting the week of Reunions is required. Duties might include: working alumni registration, setting up and breaking down headquarters, making beds and counting linens, posting signs, tending bar, stacking tables and chairs, setting up for meals, and driving a golf cart. Crew members must be TIPS certified (classes offered in the spring) to serve alcohol. The appropriate paperwork must be submitted to the Alumni Association for golf cart certification. Each crew members is provided with a wristband and campus housing for Reunions. Please note: The student crews are hired and managed by a student crew manager(s). Crew managers’ contact information will not be made available to crew applicants. Your Reunions 2010 crew application will be made accessible to the 2010 crew managers for employment consideration. Crew rosters are finalized by March 1st.
