The Alumni Relations & Communications Committee (ARC), a standing committee since 2001, seeks to increase awareness of the many services available to Princeton alumni through the Office of Alumni Affairs, to encourage a larger and more diverse participation in the programs offered through the standing committees of the Alumni Association's Alumni Council Executive Committee, and to initiate new ways to communicate with Princeton's growing alumni population.
ARC created and remains the consulting arm for Tiger E-News, the electronic e-newsletter sent to all alumni with email addresses on record; and is involved in planning the Alumni Association advertisements in the Princeton Alumni Weekly, featuring alumni profiles and news on alumni events. ARC serves as a clearinghouse for and encourages collaborative communications ventures among standing committees by making available grants for outreach. ARC also recognizes innovative communications projects of classes, regional associations and affiliated groups through its $500 ACE Award.
Communication Resource Repository
ARC is actively collecting examples of communications pieces by Standing Committees of the Alumni Council, Classes, Regional Associations and Affiliated Groups. A living and growing resource, the ARC Communication Resource Repository aims to offer inspiration from other alumni volunteers and tools for making communication efforts easier - including a Guide to Facebook for Alumni Organizations.
