Humanistic Design Speaker Series: ‘Innovation in the Era of Non-Human Intelligence’

We find ourselves today in an era of zealous enthusiasm or festering resentment toward non-human intelligences. Some herald the dawn of a new symbiosis, where human and artificial minds entwine in mutual augmentation, while others recoil in apprehension, fearing the erosion of autonomy, with the specter of obsolescence looming. What does this mean for the practitioners of what once was the domain of the “innovator"? Are we prepared to mingle our innovation with our new, bewildering electronic co-intelligences? Speaker Julian Bleecker is a researcher, designer, engineer and entrepreneur with a Ph.D. in History of Consciousness from the University of California Santa Cruz.

This event is open to the Princeton campus community with registration required.
