Happy birthday, Princeton! October 22, 1746 was Princeton’s Charter Day. In celebration of the 275th anniversary of that date, and as the first engagement effort of Venture Forward, Princeton alumni planned a birthday party today called Orange & Black Day. Everyone in the Princeton community is invited to show your Princeton pride and spirit.
All members of the University community — students, staff, faculty and alumni — are invited to participate in the celebration either digitally or on campus today.
How can you participate?
- Dress in your best orange and black, take a photo or video and upload it to:
- alumni.princeton.edu/orangeandblack No social media presence is required.
- your social media channels, tagging @PrincetonAlumni using #Princeton275 and #TigersRising. Use the digital toolkit for GIFS, printable signs and Zoom backgrounds.
For those on campus today, there will be festive decorations and treats at the Nassau Hall Tigers, Frist Campus Center, Dillon Gym and Firestone Library where Princetonians can stop by to take photos and upload them and get a tasty treat. Stop by Nassau Hall at noon, when the Princeton University Band will stop by to sing Happy Birthday.
