Orange & Black Day 2025

It’s the University’s 279th birthday, and this year’s Orange & Black Day on Oct. 22 is all about you and your imagination. It’s a Do-it-Yourself Orange & Black Day — a DIY OBD.

You are invited to show your Tiger spirit with creative outfits, decorations and activities that are unique to you. In the spirit of friendly competition, we’ll be awarding prizes for the most creative posts and gatherings.

The sky is the limit on how you choose to celebrate, but here are a few ways to participate:

  1. Post your photos and videos to your social media channels on Oct. 22, tagging @PrincetonAlumni and using #OrangeAndBlack.
  2. Suit up in your best orange and black, take a photo or video and upload it to the kudoboard. (No social media presence is necessary for this option.)
  3. Attend or plan a gathering with your fellow Tigers. Check with your regional association, affinity group or class if they’re hosting a local Orange & Black Day party.
  4. Come to campus on Oct. 25 and keep the celebration going by attending Homecoming, starting with the Game Day Lecture, Tiger Tailgate and the football game versus Harvard!

Visit the website often for more information and ideas on how to make this DIY OBD the best one yet. We can’t wait to see how you make this Orange & Black Day uniquely your own!

And finally, don’t forget to follow and tag @PrincetonAlumni Instagram, Facebook and X channels every day and on Oct. 22.
