HMEI Faculty Seminar: Kristopher Ramsay on ‘Conservation for Sale: International Bargaining over Payment for Ecosystem Services’
Kristopher Ramsay, chair of the Department of Politics and William P. Boswell Professor of World Politics of Peace and War, will examine how stock-based international conservation payments shape government incentives over time. His talk will show that these payment schemes can discourage conservation by amplifying strategic bargaining behavior by both donors and recipients.
This seminar is free and open to the public. Lunch will be available in the Briger atrium at 11:45 a.m. Click here to stream it live, no registration needed. If you’d like to submit a question for the Q&A, you can do so here.
