Uwe Reinhardt Distinguished Lecture: Gabriel Zucman

Gabriel Zucman is recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on tax evasion, both at the household and the corporate level, and a major contributor to the literature on measuring and explaining the rise in economic inequality. His 2015 book “The Hidden Wealth of Nations: the Scourge of Tax Havens” examined the ways in which tax havens hide wealth and drive global inequality. He has been a chaired professor at the Paris School of Economics since 2023, Summer Research Professor in Economics at the University of California, Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy and the director of the EU Tax Observatory in Paris.
