Jewels of Colombia
About the Journey
Experience the beauty, rhythm, and vibrant culture of Colombia from Bogotá to Cartagena, with some hidden gems along the way. Begin in Bogotá, Colombia’s capital and one of the largest cities in Latin America, exploring its colonial historic center, museums, and trendy neighborhoods. Venture outside the city to the Zipaquira Salt Cathedral, an underground marvel constructed inside a salt mine.
Journey on to Medellín, “City of Eternal Spring,” wandering the flower-filled parks and plazas and enjoying opportunities to try the local cuisine. Participate in a local coffee experience and explore the nearby town of Santa Elena, known for its flower farms and stunning nature reserve.
End the journey in beautiful Cartagena on the Caribbean coast, witnessing the UNESCO-designated San Felipe Fort and the white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and abundant marine life of the Rosario Islands. Before departing, take one last chance to indulge your senses in a rum- and chocolate-tasting experience. For those wishing to extend their time in paradise, a “Cartegena on Your Own” post-trip extension is available.
