HOME ✈ BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA
Welcome!
Fly overnight to Buenos Aires and transfer to your hotel, set among the dynamic restaurants, art galleries, and plazas of the historic Recoleta neighborhood. This afternoon, stretch your legs with a Recoleta walking tour led by historian and Princeton alumnus Martin Marimón ’17, then celebrate the start of your adventure with a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. BUENOS AIRES
History. Immigration. Tango.
Start the day at Argentina’s Museum of Immigration, located in the former “Hotel de los Inmigrantes.” Hear from Jordan Salama before meeting with the museum’s director and learning about the pivotal role of immigration in Argentina’s history.
After lunch, historian Martin Marimón ’17 re-joins the group as you set out to explore the iconic Plaza de Mayo (where Eva Peron addressed the crowds from the balcony of the Casa Rosada) and surrounding neighborhoods.
Tonight, raise a glass and take out your dancing shoes. Experience tango with two bandoneon musicians at a private reception, then head back to the hotel for some rest or continue dancing the night away at a local milonga.

BUENOS AIRES
Barbecue. Yerba mate. Fútbol.
Take the morning to sleep in or explore the local neighborhood, then bring your appetite for an authentic asado (Argentinian barbecue). Follow a master griller through the trendy Palermo Viejo neighborhood in search of the freshest ingredients, then enjoy an epic meal and yerba mate at a private residence that was once a bakery dating back to 1890. During this traditional Sunday lunch, meet local porteños, lifelong residents of the city of Buenos Aires. Buen provecho!
The energy at an Argentinian soccer match is unrivalled. This evening, experience the thrill of attending a game at one of the city’s revered stadiums, match schedule permitting.

TIGRE DELTA
River journey. National Geographic explorers. Local market.
Today, venture outside the city with photographer Sebastian Lopez Brach, a native of the nearby city of Rosario whose documentary photographs of Argentine politics, culture, and nature appear regularly in National Geographic, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. Navigate the beautiful Tigre Delta of the Paraná River, then check out the Mercado de Frutos, an old waterfront market still bustling with locals buying produce and handicrafts.
Before lunch, you’ll have a chance to hear from high-profile Argentine environmental leaders in a wide-ranging panel discussion about the country’s diverse wildlife, landscapes, and climate and conservation movements. Then return to the city for a free evening: check out the vibrant food scene and nightlife, or rest after a day of exploring.

BUENOS AIRES
Culture. Color. Caminito.
Spend today exploring the city’s thriving cultural landscape. Begin with a behind-the-curtains look at the world-famous Teatro Colón, then check out the colorful neighborhood of La Boca, birthplace of the tango. Snap a photo along the Instagrammable El Caminito, and end with a visit to the Usina del Arte cultural center, located in a former power plant designed to look like an Italian tower.
Tonight toast to new friends and an unforgettable journey at a final dinner together.
