Whether you’re looking for new contact information for longtime Tiger friends or you’re a recent graduate eager to build a professional network, a new, reimagined Alumni Directory will make it easy and secure on TigerNet, Princeton’s alumni community communications platform that will be relaunched this fall.
With a user-friendly interface featuring customized filters and privacy settings, the new directory on TigerNet will be a powerful tool to help Tigers connect, collaborate and stay engaged.
The revamped TigerNet platform will also include all class, regional and affinity group sites, as well as discussion forums. With the introduction of the new directory, the new and improved TigerNet becomes a one-stop, multifunctional platform for secure communications among Princeton’s alumni community. Alumni can continue to log in to the platform with their current TigerNet ID and password.
“We’re excited to offer this secure, one-of-a-kind networking resource to Princeton’s alumni community,” said Jennifer Caputo, deputy vice president for Alumni Engagement. “The new directory provides an improved user experience that we hope will inspire more alumni to connect with one another in a secure environment dedicated for their use.”
A digital community by Tigers, for Tigers
The revamped TigerNet platform, including the new Alumni Directory, was shaped by feedback from alumni volunteers and provides a Princetonians-only community experience. Alumni can actively engage on the new TigerNet platform in many ways, including in:
- 156 global regional groups;
- 81 classes and the Association of Princeton Graduate Alumni (APGA);
- eight affinity groups; and
- 163 topical, conversational forums.
Another exciting new development for the revamped TigerNet is that undergraduate and graduate students will also be able to join all groups on the platform (except class- and APGA-only websites) in addition to the directory.
All the interactive communities and websites on TigerNet are managed by alumni volunteers who are trained and supported by members of the University’s Advancement team. Alumni are able to keep up with class or APGA news and stay in the loop about regional association and affinity group activities on the platform. Some group websites have yet to be fully developed, creating opportunities for interested alums. Tigers can also participate in as many discussion forums as they’d like and can start new conversational discussions on topics of their choice.
Alumni can get ready for the new launch by ensuring that they are registered for TigerNet. If you don’t already have an account, visit TigerNet Account Services and select “Register for a TigerNet account.”
