Institutional Neutrality and the Mission of the University
The "Institutional Neutrality and the Mission of the University" conference will consist of two public panels investigating the role and impact of the landmark Kalven Report, followed by a private, closed session where invited scholars will draft a new updated statement on institutional neutrality. Taking into account our contemporary political circumstances, this updated statement will define the critical role of the University in defending free speech.
Livestream of the event available at mediacentrallive.princeton.edu during the public panel times (10-11:30am and 1-2:30pm).
Panel 1 (10:00-11:30am): [Open to the public] The Importance of the Kalven Report for Universities and Truth-Seeking
Panel 2 (1:00-2:30pm): [Open to the public] Legal Implications of the Kalven Report
